"This
is something that the industry really needed"
has been a very common feedback statement.

Eric
Dickie, founder of Delta Geothermal in Canada, joined forces with IGSHPA and also with CGC
and established himself as an accredited trainer for both organizations. Participants in
the Canadian training sessions made it obvious that Canadian Energy Exchange installers
and designers desire the inclusion of Canadian data and information in the ever-growing
energy exchange industry. One of the purposes of this manual is to respond to the request
for a Northern climate manual that meets the needs of the energy exchange world. Learning
institutions, individuals, and organizations of diverse backgrounds and focuses have
called for the content in this manual. It can serve as a reference source for all or as a
text for a training group.
In
addition, this manual includes the new trends and emerging ideas/innovations in the field.
It is time to investigate and report on the use of energy exchange systems from an
open-ended approach and more fully develop the potential of energy exchange.
From
teaching the Installers courses across Canada from the Maritimes to Vancouver
Island, input and evaluations have been gathered and used in the design of Energy
Exchange. Its aim is to be practical in its approach with the ultimate objective being
that of useful application. The content gives examples of practical applications of the
concepts covered. Scenarios are used to provide opportunities to practise or further
explain methods, skills, and information.
It is
also possible to provide study guides, custom-designed for diverse learning situations
should varied organizations find this to be a helpful tool. |
